dandelionA few days ago, I took my favourite garden stock photos from this Spring and converted them into black and white sketches.  To make them useful for just about anybody (i.e., including those of us who are not using the fancier graphics programs), I’ve saved them all as jpegs.  There are 33 files compacted into a big fat zip file.  You may download them from my Deviant Art account (select the download option in the upper left-hand corner.  These are free for you to use just as long as you don’t redistribute them without acknowledging me as the original source or claim the originals as yours.  Have fun!

flowergridI’ve been meaning to make these for quite a while and sure am glad that I did!  These are F*U*N!  Okay, so here’s what I’m talking about:  a handful of stencils or black and white clipart, whatever you want to call it, for making flower scenes.  Daisy-types, individual centers, roses, daffodils, foliage, stems……this should really give you something to play with.  Also included is a variety of containers to put the flowers in as well as a few butterflies and similar critters.  Tested out with great success by my 4-yr-old with the ArtRage 2.5 program and I am not ashamed to say that I also had a very pleasant time trying the stencils out.  I have many pleasant plans for these…..

Because there are so many images, I’ve combined them into a zip file that is hosted over at Deviant Art The files are all jpegs, offered with black or white backgrounds.  You photoshop people can easily convert them to pngs as you like.

Not into digital art?  These would work quite fine printed out onto card stock and traced as templates…..glue them into cards and collages!

Just something fun I made up tonight with a few of the free ArtRage stencils supplied by MisterPaint (see my links page)…I think that you could use these images on a tasteful card or perhaps as background tiles for webpages?  The birdies are quite the hot design element now…..everywhere I look, major designers are putting a bird on their fabric prints.

Perching Bird Collage: Colored Version, assembledHello!  Here are a few images of the colored version of the free perching bird collage that my daughter LIly and I have been working on these past few weeks.  (See this post for the free pdf files for the collage.)    This particular collage was made as a thank you for my friend Judy who has been sharing her paper doll collection with me durring break time at work.  I sure have had a great time looking at and learning about Judy’s dolls.  Judy put her collage up on the wall near her work desk and it looks quite festive.  All the glitter was definitely worth it.
